This work survives in two geographically distant copies, and there are no known counterattributions. Having only five movements is unusual for Wanhal, but the text is reasonably complete and there is no obvious evidence of telescoping. Musically the attributions appears plausible.

Variants

The Prague copy contains an edited alternative text that has been added under the Litany of Loreto. This is written in a different hand, and shortens the text significantly through repetition and elongation of the text, meaning that there is no exact correspondence between the beginning and end of different lines.The texts for the relevant movements are as follows (edits in boldface):
