Stylistically there are several aspects of this work that appears dubious, and in particular the absence of tenors in the choir. The work only survives in one copy, but its provenance from the Ursuline convent in Bratislava gives the attribution considerable weight. During the 1770s Wanhal spent much of his time in the service of the Erdődy family in Varaždin, and the fragmentary music collection there contains several of his works, including at least one autograph. The Ursuline convent in Bratislava was the parent convent of the Varaždin convent, and one can therefore assume that significant communication, including the trade of music, took place between the two. The lack of a tenor part could be ascribed to the Ursulines being an order of nuns.
In favour of the attribution to Wanhal one might also notice the motivic reminiscences, typical of Wanhal, between the Christe, Gloria and Quoniam.
